"Now you know why I always had such a big head"
First, we learn Dana Stubblefield pleaded guilty to lying to federal agents about using performance-enhancing drugs, THEN we learn co-founder of Wham-O, Richard Knerr, the company that bought the rights to the Frisbee and marketed it, died Monday.
Both of these stories strike at the core of my being. Dana S-T-ubblefield was a fan favorite when in DC and especially to the staff of RCS. At least two of us own and wear our Stubblefield jerseys proudly, but now what? Well, at least he's admitting his mistake, unlike Floyd Landis...and Roger Clemens...and Miguel Tejada...and Barry Bonds....I'll just stop there.
I honored Mr. Richard Knerr today by heading to the beach and playing in an Ultimate tournament. Of course, no one who actually plays Ultimate uses a Wham-O frisbee, they're far inferior to Discraft's disc. Yes, I'm an Ultimate frisbee nerd.
