Phillies Games and Underage Drinking

I live in Philadelphia, despite my disdain for all Philadelphia sports teams, I still sometimes make it out to sporting events. In fact, tonight I'm going to a Phillies game, which makes this news somewhat interesting to me.

At some Phillies games (maybe once or twice a month) they have Dollar Dog Night. What this basically translates to is "college night," which in of itself means "underage drinking night." There was one of these games last night, and apparently the Cops also know what Dollar Dog Night really means. From Philly's NBC 10:

Police said they cited 91 minors for underage drinking, while eight people were charged with showing false ID and nine with disorderly conduct. Police also said seven juveniles under 18 years old were written up.

PhillyBurbs.com has an article from someone who made it inside the game and goes on to complain about drunken people in the game. Clearly this man did not do his research before deciding to go to this game. I went to the first dollar dog game this year, which resulted in fans throwing hot dogs into the outfield, which has happened before.

But more importantly, this is Philadelphia, and a sporting event. If you don't expect drunk jerks you're fooling yourself. I'm sure there will be plenty of them out tonight.
