San Fermin, or 'The Running of the Bulls,' began in grand fashion today, with 13 people injured. The four-minute run down the streets of Pamplona draws thousands of tourists, and, not surprisingly, injuries. I ran in 2004, and can say it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life.
On that day, a man about 25-feet in front of me was gored in the thigh. Despite that, it's an event I suggest everyone goes to at least once in their life: even if you don't run, it is a week-long party, and certainly something to experience.
