Angels Retake #1 Spot In RCS MLB Power Averages

mlb%20ranks.jpgAfter a month out of first-place, the Angels are back as the top team in the RCS MLB Power Averages, two days after clinching the AL West.

To give you an idea of how much better the Angels are than the rest of the division, just look at the rankings: the Angels are 1st, and the second place team, the Rangers, come in at 18th. The number one team for the last month, the Rays, fell one spot to No. 2, and the top-four teams remain the same as they have been since July 25th.

One new team has entered the top-10, and that's the streaking Blue Jays, who are tied for 6th this week (up from 11th last week).

Too bad for the Blue Jays they are in the AL East (teams ranked 2, 3, 6, 12, and 23), and not the NL West (14, 17, 21, 24, and 30), where they would have a four-game lead over the LA Dodgers for first place.

(Note: AOL did not update their rankings this week and thus were not included in the RCS Power Averages.)
