If Week 1 of the NFL television broadcast lineup is any indication, we're going to be seeing a whole lot of the New York Jets this season.
According to the NFL TV Distribution Maps over at the506.com (who really does some amazing work with these), it looks like just over half of the country (including myself) will be getting the Jets at Dolphins game 1:00 p.m. this Sunday. Moreover, CBS has their number-one broadcasting team, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms, calling the game.
The combined record of the Jets and Dolphins last season: 5-27.
It's amazing what adding a gun-slinging, playing-like-a-kid quarterback will do for your team's visibility.
It would be nice to see the Jaguars-Titans game, or even the Chiefs-Patriots, but I'm sure Chad Pennington to Ted Ginn, Jr. will be as equally aesthetically pleasing.
