Top 4 In RCS NFL Power Averages Remain Unchanged

nfl%20ranks.jpgThe Dallas Cowboys remain the top team in the Week 3 RCS NFL Power Averages. The Giants, Steelers, and Packers remain in spots 2-4, after all improved to 2-0.

The Patriots moved up two spots in the top ten, from 7th to 5th. Falling out of the top-ten were the Saints (from 6th to 14th) and the Chargers (from 8th to 12th). New to the top-ten this week are the Panthers (moving up from 11th to 8th) and the Bills (from 12th into a tie for 9th). The top 11 teams in the rankings stand out far above the others: the 11th ranked Broncos have a average ranking of 8.88, while the 12th ranked Cardinals and Chargers earned a mark of 13.75.

Teams moving up more than three spots the rankings: The Broncos (16th to 11th), the Cardinals (19th to 12th), the Redskins (22nd to 16th), the 49ers (30th to 23rd) and the Raiders (31st to 27th).

Teams falling more than 3 spots: In addition to the Saints and Chargers, the Jaguars (13th to 19th) and the Vikings (15th to 20th).

There are several teams the different ranking systems still can't seem to agree upon, most notably the Eagles, who are ranked as high as 3rd (by 'SI' and 'What If Sports') and as low as 12th (by CBS).

Looking at the rankings by division the NFC East is clearly a cut above all other divisions with its teams ranked 1, 2, 6, and 16th. On the other end of the spectrum there is the putrid NFC West, with teams ranked 12, 23, 24, and 32nd.
