It's a relatively slow sports day (let's face it - at this point, sports is just counting down the days until the next NFL Sunday, with a brief college football distraction on Saturday), which makes it a perfect time to introduce you to Carl Joseph (via Dan Shanoff), a man that Dan Dierdorf once described as the ""Most amazing athlete I've ever seen" and moved Roger Staubach to say he was "An inspiration to everybody."
So just who is Carl Joseph? He is one of 10 kids born into a single-mother house who excelled in football as a defensive lineman, dunked basketballs and was a high-jump star. Oh, and he was born without a left leg.
It's even more amazing when you see it in video form.
