The RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages combine eight* other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the NBA on a weekly basis.
The top 3 remain unchanged from last week in the RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages. The Lakers, Celtics, and Cavs were nearly unanimously voted 1,2, and 3 respectively. The top 10 only saw the addition of one team this week, the Blazers, who rose from 12th to 10th. Falling out of the top 10 are the Hawks, who dropped from 10th to 12th.
At the bottom end of the rankings, the two teams who just changed coaches, the Wizards and Thunder, are the consensus 29th and 30th ranked teams.
The team falling the most spots this week is the Knicks, who dropped down from 15th to 20th. The teams rising up the rankings this week are the Mavericks, who rose from 22nd to 16th, and the Spurs, who climbed from 19th to 13th.
The Western Conference teams are taking a hold of the very top of the rankings, with 5 of the top 7 ranked teams. The West also has a hold on the bottom of the rankings however, with 6 of the bottom 8 ranked teams.
*AOL and Fox did not come out with new rankings this week, so the RCS Averages are composed of six power rankings this week.
UPDATE: AOL and Fox rankings have now been included.
