The RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages combine eight* other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the NBA on a weekly basis.
The Celtics remain the unanimous #1 team in the RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages, thanks to their 15-game win streak. The top three teams are clear, but the votes for the number-two ranking are split between the Lakers and Cavaliers. Only one new team enters the top-ten this week, the Hawks, who climb from 11th to 10th. Falling out of the top-ten were the Blazers, who plummeted from 4th down to 11th.
The power rankings saw little-to-no movement this week, with only two teams moving more than two rankings spots in either direction. The Blazers dropped the most spots of any team in the rankings this week, falling seven spots. Moving up the rankings were the Spurs, who shot-up from 9th to 5th.
Holding their spot in the basement of the rankings are the Thunder, who are the consensus 30th (last) ranked team this week, with the Timberwolves right above them as the consensus second-worst team among the various ranking sites.
The West is clearly still the dominant conference, with nine of the top 13 ranked teams. One reason the West has nine teams on top: their other six teams are ranked in the bottom nine.
