The Boston Globe has something called "The Big Picture" (not to be confused with The Big Picture), a feature that tells "news stories in photographs." But not just photographs -- really amazing, beautiful, captivating, and awe-inspiring large photographs.
They're currently running a three-part series, "2008 in Photographs" (Part I and Part II; Part III comes tomorrow I'm guessing), and it features some pretty unbelievable sports pictures, including this one of Samuel Peter's face being compressed by Vitali Klitschko in their WBC heavyweight fight on Oct. 11, taken by Herbert Knosowski. A few more after the jump.
