With both teams arriving in Tampa on Monday, and Tuesday’s Media Day, Super Bowl week is officially underway, and with it comes many certainties: over-hyped and greatly-exaggerated stories (were you aware that the Cardinals are an underdog?); a halftime performance by an aging but yet family-friendly rock legend (The Boss!); and everyone’s favorite, the commercials (some clearly better than others).
One other certainty, besides the actual game itself of course, is the naming of the MVP. Beginning with Bart Starr and Super Bowl I, there have been 42 awards handed out, but hardly all of them deserved their trip to Disney World.
Our look at the Top 10 Worst Super Bowl MVPs includes a quarterback who threw more interceptions than touchdowns, a wide receiver with less than 100 yards, a player who actually was on the losing team and even the un-American selection of co-MVPs.
