The RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages combine eight* other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the NBA on a weekly basis.
For the fifth week in a row, the Lakers are the #1 team in the RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages. Not much has changed at the top of the rankings in quite some time. The top-five has been composed of the same teams in some order or another every week since Christmas. On top of that, the top-10 is the same as last week, with few changes in the ordering.
The most any team moved up or down the rankings this week was four spots. The only team moving up four spots were the Kings, who climbed out of the cellar (30th) up to 26th. Two teams moved down four spots this week: the Bucks, who dropped from 17th to 21st, and the Suns, who dropped from 11th to 15th.
With not much movement in the rankings, the Western Conference domination remains the same with teams ranked 1st, and 5th through 11th. The West also is home to six of the eight lowest ranked teams for yet another week.
*Rankings from 6 of the 8 sites were posted at the time of publication. The RCS Rankings will be updated as new rankings become available.
