What to Watch: Thursday

12pm ET - ESPN - Big East Tournament: Providence vs. #4 Louisville - I'm calling it a must-win for Providence. Of course, Louisville is motivated to get one-seed in the tournament.

12:30pm - ESPN2 - Big 12 Tournament: Baylor vs. #11 Kansas - Kansas begins their quest for their fourth straight Big 12 tournament title.

2:30pm - ESPN - Big East Tournament: #21 Marquette vs. #10 Villanova - Marquette looked strong against St. John's - but who doesn't?

2:30pm - ESPN2 - Big Ten Tournament: Iowa vs. Michigan - If Michigan makes a bit of a run, they can find themselves back in the tournament. Maybe as the football tide turns south, their basketball program can pick up some of the slack.

5:30pm - ESPN2 - Big Ten Tournament - Indiana vs. Penn State - If Penn State loses it could bounce them out of the tournament. A loss to Indiana would be inexcusable.

7pm - ESPN2 - ACC Tournament: NC State vs. Maryland - The Terps must beat NC State and then Wake Forest to reach 20 wins and have a good shot of getting a bid.

7pm - ESPN - Big East Tournament: West Virginia vs. #2 Pittsburgh - The Panthers have been amazing in the Big East Tournament recently. They look to reach the Finals for the eighth time in nine years.

7pm – MLB Network – World Baseball Classic: Mexico vs. Cuba - The final game of the opening round is just for seeding before the next stage in San Diego.

8pm - TNT - Lakers @ Spurs - Lakers have a nearly insurmountable lead in the West, but this is still a good test for both teams.

9:30pm - ESPN - Big East Tournament: #18 Syracuse vs. #3 Connecticut - Syracuse has been on quite a roll recently, but it has come at the hands of lesser opponents, except for Marquette (though they are without Dominic James). Syracuse was clearly flustered by Hasheem Thabeet's presence when they played earlier in the year. They will need to figure out how to attack Connecticut with him in the middle.

10:30pm - TNT - Cavaliers @ Suns - Maybe the next time we see Shaq and LeBron on the same court, they'll be teammates.

Non-sports pick - 8pm - AMC - 48 HRS - One of the first buddy-cop movies that the genre was built on.
