Minnesotans Don’t Want Favre

It’s no secret that a lot of people are sick of Brett Favre. Yes, there are some that hope he comes back and plays for a million years, but most people, and certainly the blogging world, wants nothing more than to never hear from the Wrangler wearing, fun-having, gunslinger again. But what about the fans of the team he is rumored to be signing with if he returns, the Vikings? We already knew one Vikings fan didn’t like the idea, but what about the rest? Surely, most Vikings fans welcome Favre as a starting quarterback over Tarvaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels. Not so fast.

Rasmussen Reports, a leading national polling firm, found that only 29 percent of Minnesotans want the Vikings to sign Favre. Forty-two percent questioned late last week said it's a bad idea, and 30 percent weren't sure.
So even the fans of the team to which he is headed don’t want to see Favre return to the NFL. If Favre wants to be loved, he should start his own league with Peter King and Chris Berman, because it appears no one else wants anything to do with him.
