What to Watch: Weekend Edition

FRIDAY
7:30am ET - ESPN - US Open, First Round - I assume ESPN will be covering this from the beginning. Originally coverage was going to start at 10am but with the rain they will be starting early.

2pm - ESPN2 - College World Series: LSU vs. Arkansas - Arkansas, who needs to win, gets another shot at LSU, after having lost to them 9-1 on Monday.

7pm - ESPN2 - College World Series: Texas vs. Arizona State - ASU blew a 6-run lead the last time these two teams played. Now they must beat the Longhorns twice in a row to make their way into the Championship.

Internet Clip of the Day - In case there's no golf today, here's Tiger's highlights from last year's amazing US Open:

SATURDAY
2pm - NBC - US Open, third round - Who knows if this will actually be happening. Rain is the forecast apparently every day in NYC (it's been a long Spring/Summer here).

2pm/7pm - ESPN2 - College World Series - If necessary.

2:25pm - ESPN2 - Confederations Cup: Spain vs. South Africa - If South Africa can pull off the upset they would win Group A over Spain.

4pm – Fox – MLB: Rays @ Mets
OR Cardinals @ Royals
Or Brewers @ Tigers

4:30pm - ESPN2 - MLS: Galaxy @ Earthquake - Both teams are near the bottom of the standings. Do you really need your soccer fix that bad?

SUNDAY
1pm - ABC - IRL: Iowa Corn Indy 250 - Iowa Corn? Only in racing.

1:30pm - NBC - US Open, Final Round - Leaderboard.

1:30pm - TBS – MLB: Braves @ Red Sox - It's always fun watching Tim Wakefield pitch. He'll be going for his 10th win.

2pm - ESPN - Confederations Cup: Italy vs. Brazil - The winner of this match most likely wins Group A.

2:25pm - ESPN2 - Confederations Cup: Egypt vs. USA - The US must pound Egypt AND Brazil needs to crush Italy in order for the US to advance. That ain't happening.

3pm - Fox - Formula One World Championship, Santander British Grand Prix - Apparently this is kinda big: "This is the last time the Santander British Grand Prix will be held at Silverstone, the birthplace of the Formula 1 World Championship, and top British drivers Jenson Button – currently leading the championship – and last year’s winner Lewis Hamilton will go head-to-head, guaranteeing a huge audience for the race."

5pm - TNT - NASCAR: Toyota/SaveMart 350 - If you don't care for open-wheel cars, but need your racing fix.

8pm - ESPN – MLB: Dodgers @ Angels - With a strong performance, Dodgers Kershaw could get his ERA under 4.00.
