The RCS MLB Power Ranking Averages combine seven other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the MLB on a weekly basis.
A team from LA is back on top of the RCS MLB Power Ranking Averages, only this time it's the team from the AL, the Angels, who are ranked #1. The other LA team, the Dodgers, sit right behind the Angels at #2, while last weeks #1, the Yankees, fall to third.
The team moving the most in the rankings this week are the Reds, who fell five spots from 22nd to 27th. One reason for the Reds drop is that they received one vote for 30th place, from Fanhouse. Once a spot held unanimously by the Nationals for much of the season, multiple teams are now vying for the last place ranking. The Royals are ranked 30th by Yahoo! and tied for 30th with the Padres according to CBS. At this rate we may actually see the Nationals climb up to 29th before seasons end.
The AL Central looks to be the weakest of all the divisions failing to get a team into the top 10, as compared to the AL East who feature three teams in the top six.
