Hawks New No. 1 in NBA Power Ranking Averages

nba nov17.jpgThe RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages combine six* other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the NBA on a weekly basis.

The surprising Atlanta Hawks haven risen to the top spot in the RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages, flipping spots with last week's number one, and this week's fifth ranked team, the Boston Celtics. The Suns, Nuggets, and Cavaliers all have climbed the rankings this week to take spots two through four, respectively. Overall, the top ten is composed of the same ten teams from last week, and they are firmly entrenched as the top ten: no team in the RCS top ten is ranked lower than 10th by any site.

The hottest team of the week is the Pacers, who shot up from 24th to 17th.

At the bottom of the rankings, despite still being winless, the Nets have moved out of the 30th position up to 28th, ahead of the Timberwolves and Knicks, who are tied for dead last for being blown out of the gym in most of their games.

*FanHouse has not yet released power rankings for this week, so only five sites are used for the RCS Averages at the current time.
