Saints Top Colts in RCS NFL Power Ranking Averages

week 9.jpgThe Saints maintain a firm hold on the No. 1 spot in the RCS NFL Power Ranking Averages ahead of the also undefeated Colts; the Vikings, Broncos, and Patriots round out the top five. Two changes in the teams making the top ten this week - the Eagles move in, from 11th to 8th, and the Ravens move from 14th to 10th. Falling out of the top ten this week are the Giants, who dropped from 8th to 12th, and the Cardinals, who were tied with the Giants at 8th, but now reside in the 15th spot.

With a win the Rams are finally out of the cellar, leaving that honor to the only winless team left, the Buccaneers. And with the Rams and Titans wins the Browns can settle back into their deserved spot at 31st in the rankings.

Top Matchups

  • 1 PM on CBS - #10 Ravens @ #7 Bengals
  • Sunday Night on NBC - #9 Cowboys @ #8 Eagles
  • Monday Night on ESPN - #6 Steelers @ #4 Broncos

Division Overall average rankings:
1. AFC North - 13.16
2. NFC East - 14.22
3. NFC North - 15.75
4. AFC East - 15.91
4. AFC South - 15.91
6. NFC South - 16.76
7. AFC West - 18.85
8. NFC West - 21.44

The AFC North is the new top division of the NFL, and if it weren't for the lowly Browns, they'd be the strongest division by a wide margin. The Steelers, Bengals, and Ravens are all in the top 10 and have legitimate playoff chances this season. For comparison, the best team in the NFC West, the Cardinals are ranked 15th.
