Last Sunday, the Titans ran all over the Bills, 41-17. But overshadowing the win was the Titans owner's obscene gestures to Bills fans. Bud Adams flipped the double bird to the crowd in Buffalo, which resulted in a $250,000 fine from Commissioner Goodell. Well, Adams extended a different bird this week -- that of the dove, otherwise known as a symbol of peace. He took out a full-page ad in the Buffalo News wishing the team and their fans luck on Sunday and the rest of the season.
It's interesting that this Sunday, the Bills played the Jaguars -- a team the Titans would most likely have to surpass to procure a playoff spot. Alas, the luck didn't help the Bills who lost, 18-15, and fell to 3-7 on the season. It certainly didn't help rookie Eric Wood who snapped his tibia and fibula in the fourth quarter. The injury was so gruesome CBS wouldn't show replays of it. But if you are one of those people with morbid curiosity, it's available for viewing here.
