Celtics New No.1 in RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages

nba dec 15.pngThe RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages combine seven* other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the NBA on a weekly basis.

The Celtics, winners of 11 straight, are the new number one team in the RCS NBA Power Ranking Averages this week. The Celtics are a nearly unanimous choice at No. 1, but Sports Illustrated still has the Lakers in the top spot. Overall the top ten is composed of the same ten teams as last week, and no team within the top ten moved up or down more than two spots.

The Pistons, riding a five-game winning streak, are the big riser of the week, moving up from 22nd to 14th. Meanwhile the Clippers fell the most spots in the rankings, dropping from 17th to 23rd.

At the bottom of the rankings the Nets are no longer the unanimous 30th place team, as ESPN placed them 28th, ahead of the Sixers and T-Wolves.
