Blackhawks, Sharks Tied Atop RCS NHL Power Ranking Averages
The RCS NHL Power Ranking Averages combine six* other sites' power rankings to make the most balanced and unbiased grade possible, and to offer the most accurate look at the state of the NHL on a weekly basis.The Blackhawks and Sharks are tied for 1st in the most recent edition of the RCS NHL Power Ranking Averages. Joining them in the top ten are three new hot teams, who all climbed many spots in the rankings. The Predators jumped from 13th to 7th, while the Thrashers and Bruins moved up from a tie for 16th into 8th and 9th respectively.
Last week the Predators were a team no one could agree on where to rank, as their hot streak continues their ranking becomes more standard, but other rankings are still all over the board. The Thrashers, for example, are ranked as high as 4th and as low as 19th.
As some team rise up the rankings, others must fall. The Blue Jackets dropped from 11th all the way down to 22nd, the Red Wings fell from 9th down to 18th, and the Flyers moved from 6th to 14th.
