Welcome Back to the NFL, J.P. Losman!

JP Losman.jpgIn order to infuse a culture of winning in the locker room, the Raiders have signed J.P. Losman. That's right - J.P.'s a winner. He just finished leading the Las Vegas Locomotives to the inaugural UFL championship. The Raiders signed Losman because starter Bruce Gradkowski is doubtful after tearing his medial collateral ligaments in both knees Sunday against the Redskins.

This signing shows what little faith the Raiders have in JaMarcus Russell and Charlie Frye. When you see those two names it makes you think this Losman signing isn't so bad. Sure Losman threw only 33 touchdowns to 34 interceptions in his five years with the Bills but he completed nearly 60% of his passes. Compare that to Russell's 48% this year and Frye's 52% last year (with the Seahawks) and maybe the Raiders are on to something. In fact, given how Ryan Fitzpatrick played on Sunday (12/20 for 86 yards) it's surprising the Bills didn't try to re-sign Losman.

Good Luck Losman! You're gonna need it. The Raiders are third worst in the NFL in sacks allowed giving up over three sacks per game.
