The Celtics, who weren't overly impressive against the Heat, will put up a better fight than most expect. And it will be a fight. There will be physical play, trash talk, flopping (I'm looking at you Paul Pierce and Anderson Varejao), a bevy of technical fouls and a lot of huffing and puffing from both sides. But after four tight and intense games, LeBron will break the Celtics' will and cruise on into the Eastern Conference Finals for an epic rematch with the Orlando Magic.

Unlike Dwyane Wade, LeBron James actually has other basketball players on his team who can contribute, so the Celtics won't have the luxury of acting their age in round 2. The Celtics still have talent, however, and a good home court in the playoffs; those two factors will be enough to get them two wins, but no more.

While I underestimated the Celtics in the first round, I think a lot of people are giving them way too much credit heading into round two. If LeBron is smart, he'll drive to the hoop all series on the aging C's. That will negate any negative effects his ailing elbow might have, and it will also open up the Cavs' jump shooters on the outside. The Cavs as a whole shot over 40% from beyond the arc against the Bulls, and if they match that against Boston, they should have no problem advancing. The old guy Celtics squad just won't have enough in their tanks to stick with this young, talented Cleveland team.

Two years ago the Celtics beat the Cavs in an epic seven-game series. That was two years ago. The Cavs have added Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison and Shaquille O'Neal. And the Celtics? They're two years older. Of course, Rajon Rondo is two years more experienced, but I think the Cavs are too strong and too deep for the C's.

The Cavs are on a mission. The Celtics are heading to their retirement home. With or without a healthy LeBron, Cleveland will take this series. If the two-time MVP's elbow isn't giving him too much trouble, then it'll be a very short one. The Cavs would like a little time off afterward so they can properly prep for Orlando.
