Breaking: Brett Favre Is A Jet

And we all know, when you're a Jet, you're a Jet all the way.

At long last, the national nightmare story of "Where will Brett Favre go!?" is over: he's been traded to the New York Jets (everyone, once again, was scooped by Jay Glazer of FOXSports).

The month-long saga has finally come to an end, with the Packers agreeing to trade their future Hall-of-Fame quarterback to the New York Jets, FOXSports.com has learned.

The exact compensation was not immediately known, but it is believed to be a single draft pick that increases in value depending upon how the Jets perform during the 2008 season.

The story is apparently not officially over just yet -- Favre can still decide he doesn't want to be traded, and retire...again. But all signs are pointing to him heading the the Big Apple.

So yeah, I guess there's now a "competition" between Favre, Kellen Clemens and Chad Pennington. I wonder who will win.

If you thought the media circus was ridiculous and over the top before, just think - he was in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Now he's in New York City. Hang on, everyone.
