As you may have pieced together from the oh-so witty title, this post is not for the weak-stomached.
Last night, during the thrilling Houston-Marshall game, Houston WR Patrick Edwards, trying to catch-up to an overthrown deep ball from QB Blake Joseph, ran into a cart that was used to move equipment for the band (for some reason, the band thought putting it directly behind the end zone was smart. Apparently the 50-yard line was already taken).
What happened next wasn't pretty: Edwards was upended and suffered a compound fracture of his right leg. Before you watch, one last warning: shins are not supposed to bend.
Hopefully Edwards is able to make a full recovery from this gruesome injury, and hopefully the Marshall band is a lot more careful about where they leave their carts.
