Kelley Earnhardt Elledge who handles Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s business affairs went to the hospital today for surgery. This surgery has caused a delay in getting a contract done with Dale Jr. I do not know what surgery she had.
Jeff Gordon makes NASCAR History as being the first driver to win a poll with the COT. His qualifying speed was 125.453MPH. Starting on the front row with him will be Kasey Kahne. Toyota Cars this week did very well in qualifying. Dale Jarrett finally gets into a race without using a provisional by starting 30th. Jeremy Mayfield makes his first race of the season starting 23 while Rookie AJ Almendinger also starting his first races of the year starts 43. Michael Waltrip though will not be racing again this week as his qualifying time was too slow.
