Bowyer gets his first of the season.

Kyle Busch earlier tonight won the poll for the Bashas’ Supermarket 200 at the Phoenix International Raceway. The weather is perfect tonight for some Busch Series racing.

“The series is tough,” said Carl Edwards who takes a four hundred plus point lead into the race. When asked on his driving style Juan Pablo Montoya said, “so far it is working.”

After the drop of the green flag the crashing started really quick as Shane Huffman loses it, smashes into Aric Almirola. Also getting some damage in the wreck is the car of Tony Raines. “I wish I knew,” said Shane on this wreck. He also apologized for the accident.

After the green flag dropped it led to a nice long green flag run. Kyle Busch kept the lead of the race until lap 33 when Clint Bowyer took the lead with some help from the lapped car of D.J. Kennington.

Around lap 57 a debris caution flies that bring ass the cars on the lead lap in for tires and fuel. Clint Bowyer still leads the race at this point of time. Making a monster move early in this race is Kevin Harvick.

One lap before the half waypoint in the race Kyle Busch who thought he was ahead of Ryan Newman spins out. David Regan with nowhere to go smacks hard into Kyle Busch. David also winds up hitting and spinning out Casey Mears.

With 86 laps to go Jeff Burton was finally able to pass Clint Bowyer for the lead of the race. He bumps up the lead to around 1.5 seconds with 64 laps to go before Todd Kluever spins out.

The leaders pit this time and Montoya with a gamble taking on only two tires moves up and takes the lead of the race. At the drop of the green flag his lead did not last long as Clint Bowyer quickly passes Montoya. A couple more laps go by and the cars of Montoya and Steve Wallace touch spinning Steve out.

With 50 laps to go Bowyer leads with Matt Kenseth in second place. Five more laps go by and Kluever brings out the caution flag again as he spins out.

With 15 laps left Kenseth leads with Bowyer in second and quickly moving up in third place is Jeff Burton. Bowyer fully takes the lead one lap later and with 13 to go the caution comes out for Steven Leicht as he blows a tire and smacks the wall hard.

With six laps to go the green flag drops and Bowyer gets a great restart on his way to the victory of the race. On the final lap though J.J. Yeley spins and crashes into Jon Wood.

Dan Deeringhoff who is the crew chief for Clint Bowyer says this win is a great deal for this team.
