DEI Contract, Tony Stewart news and more....

On his SIRIUS satellite radio show Tony Stewart Live, Tony Stewart said, "It was more just emotion speaking than it was common sense" when talking about his retirement plans. He has a contract with Joe Gibbs Racing that runs out in 2009.

Max Chevy Magazine says that in DEI contract negotiations the majority ownership part of the contract is agreed on, but Teresa Earnhardt would like a board of directors type thing and this is not agreed on at all.

In other DEI news they have no created an entertainment division called the Earnhardt Entertainment Division that will develop, produce, and distribute music, television, and film products.

Mark Martin says that he anxious about driving the COT this weekend.

Angelique Chengelis confirms that DEI offers Dale Jr. majority ownership.

She also says Michael Waltrip has shot down the Bill Elliott rumor but does say that if things do not change that he will step down and just focus on the ownership role.
