Stewart, Montoaya and more news....

Tony Stewart on his radio show goes off on NASCAR for throwing out four debris cautions at Phoenix last week. He says that NASCAR is like playing god.

Juan Pablo Montoya has picked up a 10 grand fine and put on probation until the end of the year for an obscene jester he did during Busch Series practice Thursday at Phoenix. The team is not going to appeal this penalty.

Also picking up a 2,500 buck fine from this race is Todd Brewer who is the Busch Series crew chief for David Gilliland. he had unapproved, hollow jacking bolts.

NASCAR Now Notes:

Marty Smith says NASCAR is still weighing what to do with Tony Stewart and the comments that he made on his radio show. He could get a fine from it.

He also said in talks with people that know the DEI corporation big time that an August 1st deadline is in place for merchandise  in oder for it to make it in time for the 2008 Daytona 500 race.  Also that say that Dale Jr's.  net worth to the company is like 100 million bucks.

Terry Blount says that NASCAR wants to make the chase a NEXTEL series only thing.
