Qualifying notes, more on Greg Biffle and more...

In qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600 race Ryan Newman picks off his 39th poll of his career.  Sitting along side of him is his teammate Kurt Busch.  The owner of these cars Rodger Penske also have the poll for the Indy 500 as well with driver Helio Castroneves.

For the eleventh week in a row Michael Waltrip does not make the race, but it is two weeks in a row for him to crash while qualifying his car.  Dale Jarrett on the other hand stops a two race non-qualifying streak by getting the 23rd spot in the field.

ESPN has more on the Greg Biffle contract negotiations.

Kelley Earnhardt Elledge tells that they hope to get a contract done for Dale Jr. with a new team in the next 30 days.  Dale has gone over and spoken to various teams in the past couple of weeks.

U.S. Senators John Thune  and Senator Evan Bayh have sent NASCAR a letter asking them to consider moving ethanol fuel.

AT&T injunction hearing over logo usage will be heard starting August 2nd.
