Biggest surprise so far-  Mark Martin

Biggest disappointment so far- The whole Michael Waltrip racing team

DEI – B-

This team has Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr. just outside the top 12.  The team has one lone win by Martin Truex Jr.  The bad spot in the group is Paul Menard who is 40th in points with only 8 starts.

Ginn Racing –C+

Mark Martin is still in the chase while only racing ten times this year and has six top 10 finishes.  Sterling Marlin is having an okay year stuck 24th in the points with no top ten finishes.  Joe Nemechek is 32nd in the points at this point of time with only 12 races this year.  Regan Smith has raced only three times this year in the car that Mark drives with a best finish this season of 24th.

Hall of Fame Racing-C

They only field one car driven by Tony Raines.  He is 23rd in the points with a season best finish 13th.  Nothing special on this driver at all.

Petty Enterprises- C

Both drivers are in the top 30 in points with Bobby Labonte stuck in 17th place while Kyle Petty is stuck in 30th.  Both drivers have a top ten finish.

Chip Ganassi Racing C-

They have the leader in the rookie of the year standings Juan Pablo Montoya who is 22nd in points with a couple of top ten place finishes. David Stremme is 21st in points with only a couple top ten finishes this year.  Reed Sorenson is 25th in points and also has 2 top ten place finishes.

HASS CNC racing- D+

Jeff Green is 28th in the points with only two top ten finishes.  Johnny Sauter is 35th in the points with only one top ten finish.

This single car driver/owner is struggling this year with a 31st spot in the points and only one measly top ten finish.

Evernham Motorsports- D+

Elliott Sadler is stuck 20th in the points with only one top ten place finish.  Kasey Kahne who was winning 6 races last year has no wins this season and is way back in the points to 29th place in the standings.  Scott Riggs has been in 12 races this year and is 36th in the points.

Robert Yates Racing- D

Ricky Rudd is 34th in the points with only one top ten finish.  David Gilliland is 33rd in the points with two top ten finishes.  Both drivers have made every single race this season so far.

Red Bull Racing D-

Although Brian Vickers has been only in 7 races he has a top five finish in a Toyota which showcases the car can have a great finish.  His teammate AJ Allmendinger has been in six races and has done nothing. Both are out of the top 35 in points.

Bill Davis Racing- F

Dave Blaney who has only been in 11 races this season has no top ten finishes and is 37th in points.  Jeremy Mayfield has no top ten finishes and has been in only five races so far.

Furniture Row Racing – F

Michael Waltrip Racing- F

This team is bad, real bad.  Michael Waltrip has been in only two races and took him 13 races to finally get positive in the points.  Dale Jarrett has used up all his past championship provisionals and has missed two races this season.  Davis Reutimanmn has made only 8 races this year so far.

Morgan-McClure Motorsports-F

Been in six races with no top ten finishes.
