Thirty cars into Cup qualifying and Boris Said was sitting on the pole, ready to make his third start of the year with his SoBe NoFear #60 team. But mother nature had other plans. The skies opened up over the Daytona International Speedway. Not long after, Boris's team opened up the back of their hauler and loaded the car back on. They will not race on Saturday.
Neither will any of the other go or go homers, four of which were locked into the show. Instead, the field will be set by owner points. Jeff Gordon is the polesitter, even though he qualified back in the 20s.
The forecast calls for a 60% chance of rain both tonight and tomorrow night. This weekend, on track activities may be few and far between.
