Kvapil dominates at Nashville

Travis Kvapil was in another league Saturday night at Nashville. He led 47 of the last 48 laps run to win the race and the guitar in the Toyota Tundra 200. The closest thing to him, the 5 truck of Mike Skinner, finished 2.4 seconds off of his back bumper.

"Travis had us anyway," Skinner said. "The balance was not consistent on our second set of tires and Travis' truck was extremely strong. We have to learn to fix our truck on pit road. That has been our problem all year."

Skinner, the series' points leader, led the most laps and finished 3rd. David Starr and Todd Bodine rounded out the top 5.

Kvapil said at the end of the race, he was thinking of the late Bobby Hamilton, who used to call Nasvhille Superspeedway his home away from home.

"I was thinking last 10-15 laps about Bobby Hamilton and to come here to his home turf and win is pretty special.

The win moved the red hot Kvapil ahead of Bodine in the points standings. With 10 races left, he sits in 3rd, 236 behind Skinner.
