Robby Gordon has been suspended from Sunday's Nextel Cup race at Pocono for his actions in Saturday's Busch Series race in Montreal. According to Scene Daily, Gordon was seen leaving the NASCAR hauler with a copy of the series' rulebook in his hand following his run in with Marcos Ambrose in the final laps of the inaugural race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
"So many rules were broken at the end of that race we had no other choice but to suspend him." Ryan Pemberton said.
NASCAR spokesman, Kerry Tharp said Gordon is not allowed in the garage area. If he wants to watch the race, he'll have to buy a ticket.
PJ Jones practiced Gordon's 7 car on Saturday and will sit in for him in the Pennsylvania 500. He'll start at the rear of the field. More penalties and fines will be announced on Tuesday.
