Scott Speed, rating news and more...

September 18 is going to be the new court date between AT&T and NASCAR.

Scott Speed would love to run in NASCAR, but he lacks the oval experience at tis point of time that would even allow him to run in the truck series.

The ratings for the Bristol Saturday race last week came in at 3.5 a minor .1 below last years number.

AJ Allmendinger is going to be in the #42 Busch series ride for Chip Gnassi for the next five races.

NASCAR Now notes

Terry Blount says licensing revenue is the big sticking point at this point of time with Budweiser going to Kasey Kahne.

Marty Smith says that by the end of week we should have the number Dale Jr, is going to ride next year.   No number 3 will be in his driving number next year. Marty still thinks it is going to be the number 81.  I think so too.
