Jeremy McGrath, who is a developmental driver for JR Motorsports, has left the team in order to be in a late model team closer to home.
Today Sterling Marling stated that he is going to attempt to qualify in the 09 Pheonix Racing car at the Talladega track for the October 7th race.

They also stated that NO driver from North Carolina has won a race this year yet. If they fail to win a race this year it will be the first time this has happened in NASCAR. The North Carolina born drivers are Dale Jr, Dale Jarrett, Kyle Petty, David Ragan, Scott Riggs, and Brian Vickers.
