Jimmy Johnson won the poll for the Sunday race in Dover with a poll speed of 154.766MPH. Sitting on the front row with him will be Juan Pablo Montoya. Starting way in the back will be last week winner Clint Bowyer. He will start 42nd.

The AP reports that M&M'S is looking to be the sponsor for Kyle Busch in 2008.

Kasey Kahne said today that he does not know what is going to happen with his Vitamin Water sponsorship.

Jon Wood is going to attempt to qualify in a Nextel Cup event at the September 30 in Kansas. He is going to be a second car for this team at that race.

Jeremy McGrath, who is a developmental driver for JR Motorsports, has left the team in order to be in a late model team closer to home.

Today Sterling Marling stated that he is going to attempt to qualify in the 09 Pheonix Racing car at the Talladega track for the October 7th race.

Marty Smith writes that Dale Jr. #88 merchandise is selling really fast.

He also writes that David Reutimann has received a contract from Michael Waltrip Racing.

NASCAR Now notes:

In a Kyle Petty interview he stated that it is not going to be a merger with the Evernham people.

They also stated that NO driver from North Carolina has won a race this year yet.  If they fail to win a race this year it will be the first time this has happened in NASCAR.  The North Carolina born drivers are Dale Jr, Dale Jarrett, Kyle Petty, David Ragan, Scott Riggs, and Brian Vickers.
