Kentucky speedway, Johnny Sauter news and more...

After a one hour plus delay for rain NEXTEL qualifying occurred with Jeff Gordon winning another poll. "First lap scared me," said Jeff Gordon. "Just overdrove it"

Carl Edwards stated that it was the best lap I could make and I could not improve it. Carl starts 20th.

Martin Truex Jr. stated it was a good lap and that it was about the best lap he put down in qualifing at this race track. Martin starts 2nd.

Kevin Harvick stated the he though he had a shot for the poll after the first lap. He starts 3rd.

On November 19th at 1PM U.S. District Court Judge William O. Bertelsman is going to hear motions in the lawsuit the Kentucky Speedway has against NASCAR.

USA Today reports that Johnny Sauter is firmly in Limbo at this point of time and needs a new ride.

Marty Smith writes that Johnny Sauter is on the list of drivers that could drive a second car for Robby Gordon Motorsports.

Wednesday evening at Palmetto Bluff Resort in South Carolina Greg Biffle and Nicole Lunders got married.

NASCAR Now Notes:

Marty Smith says that if a top of the line part-time ride came for Greg Biffle where he could mentor a driver he might take the job.

He also says that Ricky Rudd will know more tomorrow if he can go the full distance.  Kenny Wallace is a back up driver.
