2008 Sprint Cup pre season driver review part 2.

In bold letters are car number, then the driver, model of car and finally the owner of the car.

00 & 44---David Reutimann---Toyota---Michael Waltrip Racing

He is going to start the season in 00 car and finish off the season in the 44 car. UPS is the sponsor for the 44 car. In his 2007 season he racked up only 26 starts, a best finish of 13th and a 39th place in the points at the end of the season. I think he is going to get around 29 starts this season and at best 34th place in the points. No more than one top ten finish in 2008.

07--Clint Bowyer—Chevrolet—RCR

Had a breakout year in 2007 as he went on to finished third in the points. Picked up his first win of career. I think he is a totals threat to make the chase again and get another win. Another solid and consistent year where he makes the chase. He finishes 9-12th place in the points.

1—Martin Truex Jr.--Chevrolet—DEI

Had his best season of the year where he picked up a win and finished 11th in the points. Could make the chase, but I do not think so. I think he has a great shot at a win in 2008. Around ten top ten finishes onto a 13-17th place in the points at the end of the year.

2--Kurt Busch--Dodge--Penske

Finished seventh place last year with two wins and fourteen top ten finishes. I think he can make the chase again in 2008. He will have another multi-win season and get over ten top ten finishes. I think he will finish 5-8 in the points.

5—Casey Mears---Chevrolet—Hendrick Motorsports

Had ten top ten finishes with one win in 2007 where he finished 15th in the points. I think he can win one race in 2008, but still be a driver that just misses the chase. A 14th to 17th place in the points for him.

6—David Ragan—Ford—Roush Fenway Racing

I think he can do slightly better than last year where he popped in only three top ten finishes and a 23rd place in the points. I think he gets at least five top ten finishes along with a 19-22nd place in the points.

7—Robby Gordon—Ford—Robby Gordon Motorsports

Finished 26th in the points in 2007. Has a chance at a win only at the road courses. I do not think he will finish no better than 26th place in the points at the end of the season.

8—Mark Martin & Aric Almirola—Chevrolet—DEI

Mark is going to be in around 24 races with Aric gets to ride in around 12 races. I think Aric can get a top ten finish in the car, Mark can get at least five and a possible shot at a win. Mark finished 27th in the points in 2007 and I do not think he even gets above 30th this year. Aric will be lucky if he even gets 45th place in the points due to his limited race schedule.

9—Kasey Kahne—Dodge—Gillett Evernham Motorsports

Kasey Finished 19th in the points with eight top ten finishes in 2007. I think he can rebound slightly from his disappointing year, but still will not make a chase. Over ten top ten finishes for him and a 15th-18th place in the points for him.
