2008 Sprint Cup pre season driver review part 4.

In bold letters are car number, then the driver, model of car and finally the owner of the car.

20—Tony Stewart—Toyota—Joe Gibbs Racing

Picked off three wins in a Chevrolet car in 2007 and finished sixth in the points.  I do not think he gets a win this season, but proves Toyota can finish strong every single week.  Will squeak into the chase though.  Will have at least fifteen top ten finishes and finish 9-12th place in the points.

21—Marcos Ambrose, Bill Elliott, and more—Ford—Wood Brothers

The car finished 36th in owners points in 2007.  Marcos will try to get into 12 races and I think he has one top fifteen place finish.  Bill Elliott may get in some seat time as well.  Look for this car to struggle around 34-39th place in the points all season long.

22—Dave Blaney—Toyota—Bill Davis Racing

Had four top ten finishes and finished 31st in the points while making 33 races.  I think he will miss a race or two in 2008 as well.  Will have around five top ten finishes and finish 31-35th spot in the points.

24—Jeff Gordon—Chevrolet—Rick Hendrick Motorsports

Jeff finished second place with six wins and a whopping 30 top ten finishes.  A shoe in to make the chase and to get five or more wins in 2008.  An easy contender to win the championship and I think he finishes 1st-3rd in the standings at the end of the year.

26—Jamie McMurray—Ford—Roush Fenway Racing

In 2007 Jamie raced up one win and nine top ten finishes for a 17th place in the standings.  I think he can get another win in 2008 and gets ten top ten finishes, but does not make the chase.  I fell he gets 15th-19th place in the points at the end of the season.

28—Travis Kvaphil—Ford—Robert Yates

Come back to the Sprint Cup cars after having no starts in 2007.  In 2006 though he had 31 starts, no top ten finishes, and finished 36th in the points.  This car was the 88 car, but that number goes over to Dale Jr.  The 88 car finished 30th in the owner points with only one top ten finish.  I think Travis has a shot of not making a race or two in 2008.  I think he squeezes out only one top ten finish in 2008 and gets 33-38th place in the points.

29—Kevin Harvick—Chevrolet—Richard Childress Racing

Kevin finished tenth place in the points with one win in 2007.  I think he improves a bit in the points and has a three-win season in 2008.  Will be a title contender though. He will finish 1th-3th place in the points.
