It is official now that NASCAR is looking at upping the age to 21 for the Sprint Cup drivers. NASCAR says they would like to do this in order to help them grow at the lower levels first.
NASCAR is also looking at lowering the gear that the Sprint Cup drivers are going to wind up using at the Daytona 500. The 370 and 375 are good to use in practice, but the RPM'S are a bit high and it might get chunked down to a 364 gear.
NASCAR anlong with GM have met with a bunch of safety equipment manufactures in order to help improve car seat safety at levels of NASCAR.
