Age Limit, Sponsorship news and more...

Mike Helton now says that the age limit change is not imminent at this point of time, but they are still looking into it.

73-year-old David Hylton is not going to attempt to qualify to get into the Daytona 500 this time.

Right now 52 cars are going to attempt to get into the Daytona 500.  That is down from 61 last year.

The Piedmont Distillers brand Junior Johnson's Midnight Moon is going to be the sponsor on the #70 car that Jeremy Mayfield is going to drive in the Daytona 500.

Robert Yates made it official now that freecreditreport.com is going to be the sponsor for the #38 car David Gilliland is going to drive for the first seven races this season including the Budweiser Shootout.

ABF Feight is going to sponsor the Nationwide Series car that Brian Vickers is going to be in.  He will be in six races in the #32 car and three races in the #10.  In the #10 car he will be in the Daytona race in February, Lowe's in May, and Bristol in August.  In the #32 car he will be at Atlanta in March, Texas in April, California in August, Richmond in September, and finally Kansas in September.

Veterans Of Foreign Wars is going to sponsor the #77 Nationwide series in four races with Cale Gale at Lowe's in May. Ron Hornaday drives the car at Daytona in July, Kansas in September, and Texas in November.

A Member Of
