For the race weekend at California the cars out on the track drying the surface burned through over 6,000 gallons of fuel with 3,000 gallons used just on Sunday.
Engineers are going to be looking at the California track in order to see what they can do so that they can fix drainage problems at the track.
Scenedaily.com also reports on NASCAR defending the decision to postpone the race.
The president of Auto Club Speedway would like to see the track changed into a restrictor place race. Driver Michael Waltrip came up with thew idea.
