In an update to the list of the drivers attempting to qualify for the Saturday night race Jon Wood is going to drive the 21 car. The original entry list had Bill Elliott on the list.

Travis Kvapil is going to get Discount Tire as a sponsor for the weekend. It is the first time this company has sponsored a Sprint Cup car.

Lowe's Motor Speedway is going to offer $6,648,557 in total awards for the Coca-Cola 600 which is $78,929 more than last year.

Randy Moss says that he wants to start at the lowest level, the truck series, before racing in the higher series. It is going to be a one truck team to start

He says it is very realistic that he is going to race full time in 2009.

"I'm a big fan of this sport," said Randy.

Brad Daugherty who talks on NASCAR Now as an analyst is going to team up JTG Racing for a new truck series team in 2009.

For like the millionth time when asked on running full time for the Nationwide Series title he said that he has some open dates that have no sponsorship yet.
