NASCAR on Tuesday came out an apologized for the race:
"I can't say enough how sorry we are and it's our responsibility being NASCAR that we don't go through this situation again," said Robin Pemberton, vice president of competition.
"The race didn't come off like we had hoped, the fans didn't get what they exactly wanted and we'll do everything in our power — it won't happen again, I can tell you that much."
Kyle Petty is finally going to be in #45 ride for the race at Watkins Glen. Chad McCumbee is going to be in the #45 car this weekend at Pocono and Terry Labonte is going to be in the ride at Michigan. Kyle and the team are doing to to try to maximize the amount of point they can get at each track. The #45 car is 41st in the point and 273 points out of the top 35.
Scott Speed is going to be having his first test in Sprint Cup cars this week for Red Bull Racing.
