Going out sixth in the qualifying order, Paul Menard winds up getting the poll for the Cokezero 400 with a qualifying speed of 185.916 MPH. Sitting along side of him on the front row is teammate Mark Martin. The top 10 includes a bunch of drivers that had to make it on time including Boris Said and Joe Nemechek.
"Our plate program has come a long way," said Paul Menard.
J.J. Yeley and Scott Riggs are the two drivers that are going home.
Hendrick Motorsports makes it official today in hiring Mark Martin for a two year contract. The first year is going to be for a full season of racing and the second year he is going to share a car like his this year.
In this Winson Salem Journal link it says that John Menard is in talks with Jack Roush in order to help out the Yates team.
The same link is also saying that things are looking good for a fourth team for Joe Gibbs for 2009.
