NASCAR Takes Engines, More Obama, and more news...

After the race on Friday night NASCAR has confiscated 10 engines so they can dyno them.  The data used from those tests are going to determine what changes are going to be made to even out the series.  So far Toyota teams has won fourteen races this year and we are just past the halfway point in the season.

NASCAR has also confiscated the break calipers from the Carl Edwards ride as well.  They are not on the list of approved parts and penalties will be handed down next week.

The Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has now said no to sponosoring a BAM racing car.  BAM Racing has even asked the republican nominee John McCain and at least one third-party running candidate for office.

Martin Truex Jr. says that anyone without a contract at this time is a likely candidate to be the secind driver for Tony Stewart.
