Second win of the year for Carl.

Jamie McMurray won the poll earlier today for the Dodge Dealers 250.  Rain killed an early practice today so NASCAR is going to through out a competition yellow around lap 20.  The track was even having some power issues today which is not a good thing at all for a night race.

Clint Bowyer said that he is “racing smart” this season.  Carl Edwards said that his car is really good tonight.

The first 20 laps saw Jamie McMurray in the lead of the race and then the competition yellow popped out at lap 21.  Everyone pits but Morgan Shepherd.  Joey Logano was able to beat all the cars off pit road.

The green flag drops and immediately Joey takes the lead of the race.  A slow Morgan caused Joey to get a good lead quickly.  At lap 31 David Reuttiman was able to take over second place from Reed Sorenson and then he started to catch up to Joey Logano.   Then at lap 49 David took the lead of the race and started to bust out a 2 second lead.

Around lap 62 and Kelly Bires spins out to bring out the caution.  All the leaders pit and this time it was Carl Edwards getting the lead of the race with Joey Logano in second.

Green flag racing did not go on for a long time and on lap 71 the caution flag comes out for lights that went off at the racetrack. The caution period did not last long at all and in four laps the green flag was out again.  It took until lap 96, but David Reutimann was able to the lead of the race again.

With 90 laps left Brad Coleman spins out to bring out the caution.  The leaders come in and Jamie McMurray wins the race off pit road with Joey Logano in second again.

The green flag drops and Reed Sorenson gets a bad restart that shifted him back a few spots.  Then later in the lap Landon Cassill taps Scott Wimmer.  That causes Scott to take out Reed Sorenson.  Also getting damage is Mike Bliss and Steve Wallace. It brought out the red flag.

“I don’t know what happened there,” said Mike Bliss. “I don’t know who started it.”  Steve Wallace and Reed Sorenson said that they had nowhere to go.

Landon Cassill said that he did not mean to hit him(Scott).

After a lengthy 24-minute red flag the cars got to roll again. The green flag drops with 79 laps left and a battle for the lead occurs. It lasted only a couple laps and Joey takes the lead of the race.  With 67 laps to go Carl Edwards was able to move into second place.

With 61 laps to go Brad Keselowski attempted to go high on David Reutimann and pass him but in the end David took a major hit that ended his good day.

The leaders pit and Jason Leffler taking only two tires leads the race.  With 48 laps left Carl Edwards takes the lead of the race and then Jamie McMurray loose power.  One lap later and Joey moves into second.

“Oil pump belt broke,” said Jamie.

With 35 laps left Carl had a 2.3 second lead over Joey. With 20 laps left the lead was up to six seconds and was to cruise onto a 6.5 second win.

“Carl wanted this win so bad,” said Drew Blikensderfer who is his crew chief.

David Reutimann had the fastest car on the long run said Carl Edwards.  “This is unbelievable.

Joey Logano said that his car went back and forth from being too loose or too tight.

“Just a great race team.” Said Jason Keller who finished in third.
