Tony Stewart finally makes it official....

today and saying that he is going to be leaving the #20 car at the end of the season. This will cause the breakup with his crew chief Greg Zipadelli who is not leaving Joe Gibbs Racing and is the longest running pair in NASCAR at the moment at 12 years.

Also Nascar.com is on this Thursday at 2:30 PM is going to be airing live the formal announcement of this change.

Right now Tony Stewart has not made official yet what his plans are for next season, but all the rumors say he will be 50% owner of Haas CNC racing.

His sponsor Home Depot is not going to with Tony Stewart.  Home Depot will say what they are going to do at a later date.

Joey Logano now says that he is a candidate to replace Tony Stewart in the #20 car.

In other news....

Michael Waltrip Racing says that Peter Sospenzo  is now going to be the crew chief for the #00car driven by Michael McDowell.  Bill Pappas who is the current crew chief moves over to head of engineering.

In other Michael McDowell news this Yahoo.com sports link says that he could be the driver to take over for Ryan Newman and the #12 car.

Jimmy Elledge has now become the new crew chief for the #84 A.J. Allmendinger team.

On NBC this Sunday at 7pm they will air a special show staring CNBC star Jim Cramer called "The American Dream with Jim Cramer." He will be talking with some NASCAR drivers.
