Scenedaily.com reports that Team Rensi Motorsports will close down in December if they do not get a sponsor to replace Smithfield Foods.  Bobby Hamilton Jr. drives for the team and the article says that he may go do some Sprint Cup racing next year.

Fox Sports says that Gillett Evernham Motorsports may buy the Bill Davis Racing team.

The new owner of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway wants to add lights to the track, but the former owner has made a deal with the some neighbors to not have lights.

Baker Curb Racing has signed Jason Keller to drive the #27 Nationwide Series Ford for the rest of this year and for the full 2009 season.

The Dover Sprint Cup race so far has 46 entrants on it.  No Joey Logano this week, but we do get Marcos Ambrose in the 21 car though.

The overnight ratings for the Sunday race came in at 3.1 which is around 10% more than the race got last year.
