A.J. Allmendinger news and more....

NASCAR has come out with an official release on the Regan Smith pass at the end of the race.

A.J. Allmendinger is going to be in a Sprint Cup car this week as he attempts to qualify the #00 Michael Waltrip car at Lowe's.

Denny Hamlin has been released from the hospital that he went after his big wreck at Talladega.  Denny has no concussion or broken bones. He has not been given the okay by NASCAR to come back to racing yet.

Also attempting to get into this race is Brad Kesleowski in the #25Hendrick car, Bryan Clauson in the #40 Chip Ganassi car, and Scott Speed in the #22 Red Bull Car.

The Nationwide series has a 53 car lineup this weekend which dos include 7 of the Sprint Cup chasers.

The overnight rating  fopr the Sunday race from Talladega is inand it is a 4.0 rating which is down from the 4.2 rating the race got last year.
